October, 2008 Carolyn Hudson was raped by an elder of her church. Because Carolyn pressed charges, the police, in their investigation discovered this elder has full blown AIDS, multiple other diseases and at least one prior sexual assault offense. The trial came to court July 13, 2010 and became major news in the local area. Now it's time for the victim to speak.
You would think if you meet someone at a business networking function promoting their business or ministry that they are legitimate. (His ministry flyer is available upon request)
You would think if you meet and fellowship with a minister, elder or leader of your local church that they would be honest, truthful and would have the same belief foundation as the church and yourself. You would believe them to be a person of integrity.
You would think if you meet a ministry leader at a business networking function sponsored by one of the church ministries, on the church premises, that it is a safe place to network and learn of other businesses within your local church and community.
You would also think you would have no reason to be concerned or in danger by inviting an elder from your church to your home, after having numerous public meetings and building a ministerial business relationship. After all, we all do it, fellowship. You would think after seeing and hearing senior elders support this elder that he is of upstanding reputation.
His ministry targeted ministers, elders, pastors who wanted to practice their craft. I believe he approached his targets to speak at his meetings as he did me. (I refused)
You would think that you have no reason to question any statements made by this elder as being true. In your mind there is no reason to lie. He has no reason to lie after all you have no interest other than temporarily assisting him in his ministry.
Everything was a lie - name, age, residence, education, place of employment, family status, religious belief, political interests, etc. Including his website that states his interest in running for president of Zambia in 2011, www.democraticunionpartyofzambia.blogspot.com
You would think he is safe. After crossing all the i's, dotting all the t's, inquiring and googling the information you were given you would think he is safe to converse and fellowship with and you are safe.
Yes you would think there is no need to be concerned, unless................ Unless he had a hidden agenda all along. Unless he was a master deceiver of lying, manipulating and seducing. Unless he is a rapist or sexual predator. A rapist, a sexual predaotr who plotted and planned long before meeting me and even prior to joining the Potter's House. Could the Potter's House have been his target all along? Could he have trained himself in this craft of seduction and assault as predators do and then plotted the place to carry out his devious plan just as predators do. After all he approached numerous women at the Potter's House especially female ministers and elders. Some were tricked but others were not. I pray for the ones who he has infected with AIDS, not only the possible victims who are and were members of the Potter's House but other women in the community as well. My heart prays for them constantly.
He could be a rapist, sexual predator. Could he be a witch or warlock, someone with evil beliefs who wanted to contaminate the things and people of God, possibly to make him clean again as some African cultures believe. You see, he made certain statements when I invited him to my home, my sanctuary. It was then I knew we were not of the same spirit and I decided to cease all ministerial and business association with him.
Or could he be a crazy man, a nymphomaniac who wants it, no matter what. He doesn't care who he hurt and he hurt many people since 1996. There is at least one documented prior offense. Female ministers and elders appeared to be his most recent targets. Is he just a nymphomaniac or could he be all of the above?
For a long time I have been silent yet wanted to speakI I thank God so much for the church members that really know me, supported me, did not gossip about me and prayed for me. I thank God for the members who knew this was not a sorted affair gone wrong and stated so when people wanted to say otherwise. I thank God for the people who did not know me yet there hearts were with me.
I want to tell my story but in the way it should be told. The truth is this is not about me as much as about the dangerous people lurking in the institutions we deem safe places, our churches, our homes. There is so much to share about what happened to me that supports that statement. This is just the beginning. I pray you extract what you need from this small piece of literature to enlighten, encourage you and to keep you and your loved ones safe. More to come.
